On March 16 at the Cariari Golf Club the Asociación Pro-Hospital Nacional de Niños – Parque de Diversiones(Association Pro-National Children´s Hospital-Amusement Park) is organizing the XIV Golf Tournament to raise funds to buy medical equipment for the benefit of the patients of the intensive care unit and burned unit of the Hospital.

The Association hopes to raise enough money to buy a calorimeter tower, a medical instrument used to measure the exact energy needed by patients in critical care, which will be destined for the aforementioned units.

¨Nutrition is a fundamental element in a patient´s treatment, and it is specially important when they have an accelerated decline of their metabolism¨, explained Jaime Cortes, Chief of Surgery of the National Children´s Hospital.

This is the fourteenth edition of this tournament that is organized every year with the idea of improving the care and quality of life of patients with different pathologies.

Those who take part in the tournament will also have the opportunity to win different prizes, among these a trip for two people to Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in New York.
