5.5 Magnitud Earthquake Shook Costa Rica at 1:37 a.m. This Friday

Costa Ricans were woken by a 5.5 magnitud earthquake this Friday, March 23 at 1:37 a.m.

According to the National Seismology Network, the epicenter was 13 km Southwest if San Marcos de Tarrazú at a depth f 36 km.

The movement was reported as felt in most of the Central Valley and Quepos in Puntarenas. In San Jose many people reported feeling “strong wind and a very strong earthquake followed”.

There are no reports of injured people or fallen objects at this time.
