Get up close to see a heart, lungs, skull and even a brain, at the “Yo Humano: All Bodies”  exhibit at the National Gallery in Costa Rica that will be open through June 17.

“With the clear objective of raising awareness among the public on the importance of the care, protection and proper use of the different structures that make up the human body, the exhibit shows how our body is formed biologically and the different types of illnesses we face and how to prevent them”, explains the National Gallery.

Yo Humano: All Bodies is in exhibit in the first floor of the National Gallery and takes up a total of 6 theme rooms that show: The nervous system, head and neck; the thorax; anatomy of movement; abdomen and pelvis; anatomy of development and pathological anatomy.

The exhibit is open for adults and children who will be able to observe more than 200 parts of the human anatomy preservers through a process of plastination and dissected to display bodily systems.

Tickets to the exhibit have a cost of 2000 colones and for those that wish to also visit the Children’s Museum they can pay 3500 colones and visit both the National Gallery and Children’s Museum, which are open from Tuesdays through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
