Irish bestselling author John Connolly will be visiting his fans in Costa Rica Thursday, September 20 at Librería Internacional bookstore at Multiplaza Escazú and on Saturday, September 22 at Multiplaza Curridabat Librería Internacional.

Connelly published his first novel, Every Dead Thing, in 1999. In this book he introduced the character of policeman Charlie Parker, who was hunting the killer of his wife and daughter; this book received the Shamus Award in 2000 for the Best First Private Eye. Novel, and made Connelly the first non-US author to have won the award.

Connelly went on to write “The Parker Series” of books which includes a total of 16 books; other works include The Book of Lost Things, The Gates, and most recently He: A Novel.

The presentation in Multiplaza Escazu will be at 7 p.m. while the one in Multiplaza Curridabat is scheduled at 2 p.m. The event is free and the author will be presenting the book A Time of Torment which is part of the Charlie Parker series.
