A man originating from Mexico was apprehended by officials of the Drug Control Police (PCD) of the Ministry of Public Security, carrying $27,100.00 in cash that had not been reported.

This detention took place at the Juan Santamaria Airport in Alajuela, when the man tried to come into Costa Rica carrying the money in a manila folder inside a briefcase.

The man is 51 years-old and of last name Suarez.
