The Ministry of Public Security acquired 50 police cars and 102 motorcycles to reinforce the work done by the Public Police Force in the entire country.

The new vehicles were presented in an activity at the Children’s Museum with the participation of President Carlos Alvarado, the Minister and Vice-Minister of Security Michael Soto and Eduardo Solano, the director of the Public Police Force Daniel Calderon and regional directors.

In total 50 pick-up police cars were purchased with a cost of $1,374,709.00 and 102 motorcycles, 78 of 250 cc and 24 of 660 cc that added up to $1,025,048.87 for a total investment of $2,399,758.60.

The purchase of these units is directed to reinforcing the Operational Support Teams (GAO) and will be distributed equally throughout the entire national territory, giving emphasis to the areas that register a higher incidence of crimes.
