With little fanfare, after 240 days Bill Shine, an ex Fox News executive has resigned his white house position as Communications Director to become a senior adviser to President Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign, according to a White House statement.  People close to the White House described the campaign job as a way to ‘save face’.

During the past 24 months, this position has been filled by Sean Spicer, in a dual role as Press Secretary. As Communications Director, he lasted 45 days and relinquished responsibility to Mike Dubke . Spicer had another bite of the apple, lasting an additional 49 days. Replacement: Bill Shine.

Hope Hicks, a Press Secretary during Trumps campaign after leaving the employ of Ivanka Trump at 25 years of age became the newly created position of Director of Strategic Communications and subsequently, interim White House Communications Director. The last Director having been Anthony Scaramucci with a tenure of 8 days. The position, no matter the title, is nebulous and transitory.

Not being ‘the Great Communicator’, Donald Trump keeps a tight reign over what emanates from the Oval Office and press room often acting as his own communication director. Being impulsive is not an art form that conveys principles and confidence. How do we unscramble word salad? The only path to success and longevity in this administration is to blindly praise and defend the ramblings of a demigod in free association.

The public face of the white house, none other than Sarah Huckabe Sanders , who hasn’t seen the press room since January 28th or Kellyanne Conway, a permanent lawn fixture who revels in ‘alternative facts’, much to the delight of her boss. Conway claims to have been offered the job of Communications Director many times. Kellyanne, there is an opening available, probably on an ‘acting basis’as of Friday.

Sarah Sanders, whose sole purpose was to appeal to evangelicals seems to have lost any moral compass that she may have and abandoned that when she graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
Mr. President, ‘tweeting’ is best left to 13 year old girls after they have had a bad hair day. Four and Five o’clock in the morning is a troublesome time for any but the most obsessive owners of an iPhone. Try using your ‘executive time’ for lessons in writing skills and ethics. Better yet, hire a Communications Director who is not afraid to tell you that you are a rudderless ship who has no clue about governance. Before you go up in flames, realize that the fault does not lie with the democrats but with you, who has rejected any sound advice from people who have the experience or background to set this country on a course, whether conservative or liberal that puts the people first and not your self indulgent ego.
