Barcelona Football Club Will Open Soccer School In Costa Rica

Football Club Barcelona (FC Barcelona) has announced the opening of its second soccer school in Central America, this time it will be located in San José, Costa Rica; the first one was opened in early 2017 in Guatemala.

This is part of the international expansion of the project FCBEscola and will represent the 37th school in the world and the 18th in the American Continent. FC Barcelona also opened an office in September 2016 in Manhattan, New York.

The new soccer school will be located in the Blue Valley School in Guachipelín, Escazú and will consist of two soccer fields that are currently under construction.

During the days of December 9 and 10 the FCBEscola will be conducting tryouts with the objective of selecting girls and boys ages 6 through 16 to build the first generation of athletes of this schools which will officially open doors in February 2018.

FCBEscola is a model of soccer school that has the goal of forming athletes with the work philosophy and values of the Barcelona Football Club. They work with their own principles following Barça’s methodology in all categories; promoting a creative and offensive game and the values of respect, humbleness, effort, ambition and team work.
