Celebrate 4th of July in Costa Rica

The United States citizens celebrate this fourth of July 242 years of independent life, if you are in Costa Rica and you are looking for options on things to do this Independence Day, we offer you some alternatives:

Backyard Bar: The Backyard Bar between Jaco and Hermosa in Puntarenas is hosting an “Old Fashioned Backyard Barbecue” starting at 4 p.m. with an open jackpot surf contest and live music with the band Reverend and the Rollers.

Marina Pez Vela: The party begins at 3 p.m. at Marina Pez Vela in Quepos and will extend through 8 p.m. Live music with the Kin Rivera Jr. Band featuring David Tucker and of course, hot dogs, chilli and American apple pie. Activities for children, fireworks and attendees can even take a photo with Uncle Sam.

Los Sueños Resort and Marina: Los Sueños will celebrate with a Picnic at the Beach Club which will include live music, special Grey Goose cocktails and a special picnic menu. The activity will take place 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with fireworks at 7 p.m.

Avenida Escazu: This shopping center is making an effort to make you feel like you are celebrating back in the United States, the event begins at 4 p.m. with live music by DJ Sweetbo, followed by a performance by singer Kurt Dyer at 5 p.m. and concluding with an hour presentation by the band Mustang 65 at 6 p.m. Fireworks will close this free activity.
