The Costa Rica Touring Car Championship (CTCC) is back this weekend and through six days it will offering the best of motor racing in Costa Rica.
15 pilots will be part of this third edition of the CTCC, known faces such as Juan Carlos Alvarado, Emilio “Milo” Valverde, Danny Formal (Current Champion), Erick Xirinachs, Bernal Valverde, Andre Solano, Andrés Montalto, among others. Also, a few new faces, Jamaican John Brown who joined the Chevrolet Pennzoil team and Gaetano Ardagna who is part of Kia Motors representation.
The first date will be run Sunday, January 28 an consists of three heats of 20 laps. The CTCC has included this season other activities and exhibits with the purpose of offering variety and a more attractive offer to the assistant audience; among them Super Bikes and Karting, entertainment activities and food trucks.
Jose Andres Montalto of Suzuki won the pole position for the first date of the Hankook Cup during the classification round this Saturday. Montalto managed to stop the clock at 56.540 seconds, followed closely by Danny Formal from Hyunday Shell with 56.580 seconds, Bernal Valverde of MG who marked 56.594 and in fourth place André Solano from Chevrolet with 56.985.
