Costa Rican Philharmonic Orchestra 2019 Concert Schedule

Many anxiously await the announcement of the concert season of the Costa Rican Philharmonic Orchestra, popular music interpreted in an innovative format by a large group of talented musicians.

The proposal of Director Marvin Araya has paid off, each of the shows sells out, the public knows they are guaranteed a high quality show.
This year’s season includes several English music concerts, among them:

March 9 & 10: Songs Full of Dreams: The Best of Coldplay
May 4 & 5: The Best of Iron Maiden
June 1 & 2: King: A Tribute to Michael Jackson
July 13 & 14: The Best of BeeGees
September 14: The Best of Queen
October 5 & 6: Music at the Movies
November 2 & 3: The Best of AC/DC
November 23 & 24: The Best of U2
December 17 & 18: The Best of the Philharmonic Orchestra

The majority of these concerts will take place at the Melico Salazar Theater in downtown San Jose, except for The Best of Queen that will be at Parque Viva in La Guacima, Alajuela.

The Philharmonic Orchestra is formed by 65 professional musicians and has the traditional structure of a Symphony Orchestra; however, it also includes instruments that are not found in a symphony orchestra as is the case of drums, saxophones, piano, and electric bass.
The versatility of the Philharmonic Orchestra allows it to interpret music of very different styles, from Broadway musicals to rock and roll.

Tickets for each of the events will go on sale a few weeks before the event through online platform eticket.cr.

If you have not been to one of their concerts, this is the year to do so.
