Quattro, among others, will play Credomatic’s 22nd music festival from August 4th -19th. The music will be ringing this year from various different venues throughout Costa Rica. In addition to the concerts, there will also be workshops held for aspiring musicians.
Though the final program has yet to be decided, the group everyone is talking about is Quattro. The U.S. Latin, Jazz, pop fusion band has quite a resume. Their music has appeared in films such as “X-Men” and “Ice Age” and some of you might have even caught them on American Idol. The four piece band (Kayta Matsuno, vocals and guitar; Giovanni Clayton, vocals and cello; Lisa Dodinger, vocals and violin and Jorge Villanueva, vocals and percussion) captures the audience’s attention with their vocal style and rhythmic percussions.
Artists from all over the globe will come to play in the festivities. Some coming from as far as Holland, France and Japan. There are also local musicians from Costa Rica and performers from closer countries like Mexico, Canada and the United States on the play list.
Though the final programming is not yet decided, the spectacular soloists and assemblies will perform in some of Costa Rica’s most marvelous locations. From resorts on the beach and mountain lodges to the Teatro Nacional and churches, the venue list will be breathtaking.
“It’s a marvel and an anticipated experience to host music of such quality in so many beautiful settings,” said the general manager of northwestern Guanacaste’s Hacienda Pinilla, Mauricio Estrada. The resort has supported the music festival for years and will once again play host to concerts on the edge of the Pacific.
Stay tuned for the finalized schedule. You won’t want to miss some of the free shows that will be held in assorted historic centers, churches and EARTH University.
