Everywhere you look the Washington Democrats – especially the declared presidential candidates — are making one outlandish statement after another as if they are in some sort of loser contest. Dispirit people say dispirit things. Take for example the latest nonsense coming from Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).

During a recent town hall meeting in Iowa – sight of the nation’s first presidential primary — Gillibrand raised a lot of eye brows when she blurted out that U.S. Social Security benefits should be expanded to include illegal immigrants. What? That one statement should make Gillibrand pack up her political toys and go home. Her sentiment is enough to boil the oil of older Democrats, Republicans and Independents across the board from coast-to-coast. Here again the voters see the haters doing nothing for real Americans. The only few words that she said during that town hall get together that made any sense were: “ … we need comprehensive immigration reform … .” Yes, Ms. Kirsten you are correct but no more giveaway programs to illegals. Kick their butts out. How about public housing for homeless veterans?

Another presidential hopeful Robert “Beto” O’Rourke — a former congressman from Texas who lost a U.S. Senate bid in 2016 to incumbent Republican Sen. Ted Cruz – says one crazy thing after another. He is very tall, an imposing figure standing on top of a car during campaign rallies holding a megaphone while wildly flailing his hands and arms in all directions. He’s more a cartoon figure than a serious candidate for the nation’s highest office. Here’s a little sampling of a recent speech from Mr. Beto.

“If we do not abolish all fossil fuels within twelve years, everything on the planet will be dead,” he said. “The scientists are 100-percent united on this. Just as Americans of the past had to fight at Normandy, we have to fight this now, and save our planet.” Geeze Louise. If you want a good laugh check out Beto’s Wikipedia biography and read up on his music career as a punk rocker and drummer back the 1990s. All that fits the man we now see at 46-years-old. He is a punk.

Conrad Black, with the National Review, calls Beto a “quack” and wrote this about O’Rourke: “Let us be clear: This isn’t a matter of policy differences. This man is a boob, a dolt. He is vulgar and ungrammatical, knows nothing, and makes no sense. He can’t keep his mouth shut for five seconds and he is wired like an early helicopter with a vertical rotor on its tail. He can’t gabble out his nonsense without waving his arms around. He knows everything, meaning nothing, is incapable of making a correct factual statement, and throws in the f-word for emphasis, even where there is nothing to emphasize.”

According to Real Clear Politics polling averages, Gillibrand is supported by 0.4-percent of voters while O’Rourke claims 8-percent — far behind the leaders. These two are going nowhere.

Now the Democrats – one after another – are calling to expand the U.S. Supreme Court from its present number of nine justices to 15, plus they are calling for term limits for Supreme Court appointees. Now it is a lifetime appointment. These Democrats are seeing the hand writing on the wall that more than likely President Donald Trump will win a second term. This president more than likely will get two more U.S. Supreme Count Nominations due to the advanced age of several members of the high court.

By proceeding with attempting to amend the U.S. Constitution to 15-high-court justices these Washington Democrats are subconsciously admitting defeat in 2020.
