Firearms and $200,000 in Cash Seized by Costa Rican Police in Limon

In a joint operation carried out by agents of the Costa Rican Investigative Police (OIJ) in Limon and officers of the National Coast Guard Service, a criminal organization formed by eleven Costa Ricans, three Colombians and a Panamanian was dismantled.

The men were arrested on Monday afternoon and face charges for money laundering and illegal possession and carrying of unregistered firearms.

Costa Rican authorities searched the two-story house in Moin, Limon, the same has access to the beach; in it they found $200,000.00 in cash inside several handbags, 7 guns (among them 9 mm and .40 calibers); two speedboats without license plates and three motor boats with Costa Rican licenses.
