Costa Rica will have for the first time, a Wedding Expo directed to the LGBTI population in 2019.

The event is organized by Villamil Productions and will take place at the Pedregal Events Center in San Antonio de Belen, Heredia in February, the specific dates have not yet been released but it will extend for three days.

Villamil has made available one hundred stands for companies to offer different services for the planning and organization of weddings, decoration, food, jewelry, clothing, photography, venues, etc.

The Constitutional Court in Costa Rica recently ruled the prohibition of same-sex marriages as a unconstitutional and ordered Congress to make the necessary adjustments to the law to guarantee the rights of same sex couples.

Many members of the LGBTI community have been waiting for the laws in the country to allow them to celebrate weddings and very soon this will be a reality in the country.

The Government has insisted in creating a more tolerant and inclusive society were the rights of the LGBTI community are respected and they are treated with dignity.
