Dalila, Sanson, Royal, Tony, Neron, Fabiola, Prince, Ramses and Kimba are nine bengal tigers that used to form part of the shows of the Suarez Brothers Circus in Mexico and that will soon have a new home in the Ponderosa Adventure Park in Liberia, Guanacaste.

The tigers are currently stuck in Nicaragua, since the transit of exotic species is restricted in Central America; they were donated by the circus personnel, and according to Mario Rojas, director of the adventure park, they are in excellent health conditions.

Their new home will offer them three hectares of land where they will live in conditions similar to their natural habitat, they will not be caged.

In order to be moved from Nicaragua to Costa Rica there’s a series of paperwork still to be done, and once in Costa Rica they will be quarantined with the purpose of giving them time to adapt to their new environment and check their overall health.

Four of the tigers are 8 years of age, two are 7 and three are only 2 and a half years old. These will be the first carnivores in the park.

Ponderosa Adventure Park (Africa Safari Adventure Park), is located in Liberia, Guanacaste and has several attractions, such as an African Safari where you can see animals such as giraffes, zebras, blue neck ostriches, watusis, dromedaries, among others; also ATV tours, waterfall tours, horseback riding and canopy.
