The Rythmia Life Advancement Center, a luxury resort in Costa Rica that made headlines in the past due to a controversial therapy that involved the use of a psychedelic substance, has reformed its operations and is now offering holistic vacations.
As previously reported by The Costa Rica Star, Rythmia was mostly known for its use of Ibogaine, a substance extracted from a few plants that are native to Western Africa. Sadly, a medical tourist from Norway passed away at Iboga House, which would be later reorganized and branded as Rythmia Life, due to complications emanating from Ibogaine intake.
Several months after the above-mentioned incident took place, agents from the Office of Judicial Investigation (Spanish initials: OIJ) began searching for a Canadian expat who may have been involved with Iboga House at the time the Norwegian woman passed away.
Rythmia Life also made headlines when reality television star Scott Disick of the popular series Keeping Up with the Kardashians was reported to have been admitted. Mr. Disick, who has three children with Kourtney Kardashian, was battling alcoholism at the time; however, this rehab stint did not last long and was rumored to have been a publicity stunt. To this effect, Mr. Disick was seen in Costa Rica at a popular dance club with two attractive female companions at the same time he was reportedly in rehab.
For many years, Ibogaine has been used to treat certain addictions. Research on the therapeutic potential of Ibogaine indicates that the substance can be used to help heroin and opiate addicts to overcome their patterns of abuse. For more information on medically supervised, more standard treatment, see https://costaricatreatmentcenter.com.
Notwithstanding the above, Rythmia Life no longer mentions Ibogaine on its website, whihc now features testimonials by celebrities such as musician Will.I.Am and actor Casper Van Dien. The focus of the center is now on holistic vacations as can be appreciated in the press release below.
