Free Small-Business Tax Orientation Session Tomorrow

The Costa Rican Professional Accountant’s Association (CCPCR, in Spanish) will be holding a free consultation session tomorrow, Wednesday, August 31, at the Central Park in downtown San José from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for micro, small, and medium businesses who have tax filing questions.

The actividad is called “Free Certified Public Accountant for a Day,” and is timed one month before the end of the fiscal year which is September 30.

Businesses can find out about such topics as what bills need to be presented in your tax returns, what types of expenses are deductible, how to use the automated taxation system (ATV), and other relevant information regarding businesses tax filing in Costa Rica.

To stay up to date with tax filing in Costa Rica, businesses are required to present all information on their income, expenses, and operating costs between October 1 and September 30 by the end of each year.

President of the accountant’s association, Francisco Ovares, and association’s vice-president, Sergio Blanco, will both be at the activity, as well as other accountants specializing in taxation in order to clarify business owners’ questions and concerns.
