Gap store returned to Costa Rica and opened doors this weekend in Avenida Escazú shopping center.
The international franchise had operated two stores in Costa Rica in the past, one in Multiplaza Escazú and another one in Lincoln Plaza, however, these closed doors in 2016 after three years in the country.
Now they come back strong, with an aggressive expansion plan, from the hand of Central American company AR Retail S.A. (part of Promerica Group).
This first store will work from Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Plans include opening a total of nine stores not just of the GAP brand but also Old Navy and Banana Republic. The second store is scheduled to open in November in Lincoln Plaza and a third location will be inaugurated in 2020. In Central America AR Retail plans to open close to 40 stores.
Gap Costa Rica will offer the same collections and accessories as they do in all other stores in the world.
“We are reaffirming our position as a global and cultural brand that has always and consistently offered the best denim in the market, with a great selection of tones, styles, fabrics, to adapt to all preferences and styles”, explained Rebecca Guidford, senior director of Visual Merchandising for GAP, in an interview with national daily La República.
