Get Certified as a Yoga Instructor in Costa Rica

If you practice yoga on a regular basis and are looking for the opportunity to learn more about this discipline or even become an instructor, here is the chance.

Antonio Corrales and Dahiana Chaves, certified yoga instructors, will be offering a course that will begin on May 6 and will extend for three months. Classes will be scheduled during the weekends from 8 a.m. through 2 p.m. and the workshops will take place from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m.

The course will be based in classic yoga styles of Iyengar and Ashtanga, and the workshops will be theoretical and practical emphasizing on technical basics of the discipline, teaching methodology, history and philosophy.

We will also have special workshops of Acroyoga, Thai Massage and Sound Sensitivity with sacred instruments, among others, to encourage not just as the physical practice but yoga as a lifestyle that has physical, mental and emotional benefits”, explained Dahiana Chaves.

Participants can opt for two different certifications, one involves 200 hours that will be completed during the weekend classes, those that choose this alternative will have unlimited access to all regular classes through august. The other option is a 300 hours’ certification and it includes the weekend classes and another 100 hours that must be completed during the regular hours of class at Yoga Prasanna and they must include 80 hours of regular practice, 10 hours of teaching, 5 hours of observation and 5 hours of adjustments.

The workshop will have a cost of $1,200.00 USD, the certification received will be valid internationally and it will have the backing of Yoga Prasanna, Kala Yoga and Yoga Alliance.

All classes will take place at Yoga Prasanna, located 300 meters East from El Pueblo Shopping Center.
