The Interpol in Costa Rica with aid of the Judiciary Investigative Police arrested the afternoon of this Wednesday a dangerous drug dealer that was required by the United States justice.

Authorities had been keeping track of the suspect closely for the past two months, they were able to determine that the suspect was making arrangements to settle in the country, apparently building a luxurious house in the area of Heredia, he always traveled with security which is why they took advantage of the moment he was leaving a Brazilian restaurant in La Sabana where he had lunch with three other men, his wife and baby, to apprehend him.

The man, 35 years-old, apparently of Nicaraguan nationality, and identified as Mario Juan Pereira Ramos is investigated by the DEA and Interpol for presumably leading an international drug trafficking operation, he is also linked to arms trafficking.

In Costa Rica he used different forged identification documents, in fact, when he was arrested he stated that his name was Antonio Munguia. The suspect lived in the area of Limon with his wife, and was commonly seen in Heredia and San Jose.

Pereira now awaits the process to be extradited to the United States.
