The 63rd edition of the renowned Miss Universe international beauty pageant will be held on January 25, 2015 in Miami, and a beautiful woman from Heredia will be representing Costa Rica. It is widely held that the city of Heredia and its environs yield the highest percentage of pretty women in our country, although the communities may disagree on this fact. Still, only two pageant contestants from Heredia have been crowned Miss Costa Rica in the 21st century prior to Karina Ramos Leiton.
Karina Ramos is a 20-year old student at Universidad Latina. She was one of the youngest contestants in the 2014 Miss Costa Rica pageant, and she has been competing in various pageants over the last few years. In the past, Miss Ramos was crowned Miss Peace International in 2013. She studies public relations and has previously worked on radio and television production.
As previously reported in The Costa Rica Star, beauty pageants in our country tend to be surrounded by controversy; luckily, however, that has not been the case this time. Get to know more about Miss Ramos from this video:
