“March for Life and Family” Gathered Thousands in San Jose, Costa Rica

A “March for life and family” took place this Sunday in San Jose, Costa Rica with the presence of thousands of Costa Ricans that decided to show their position in favor of life (against abortion) and family (the traditional family).

The event was organized by the Catholic Church but had the support of other religious groups such as Christians and Evangelics, it took the streets of San Jose and finished in Paseo Colón with the celebration of mass by Monsignor Angel San Casimiro.

According to the priest, “the march is not against anyone or against something in particular, its in favor of Jesus and his teachings”; the attending public had several signs against abortion, equal marriage, ideology of gender and even the sexual education classes as proposed by the Ministry of Education.

“We have two topics to propose, not impose: the first one is the respect an protection to human life in all its stages and dimensions. The other one is family, the most adequate environment for a human being to live in”, stated San Casimiro; he also made it clear that families have the right and duty to guide their children when it comes to sexual education.
