SAN JOSE – Universidad de las Ventas (Sales University) is the first academic institute dedicated to training the sales forces of businesses in Costa Rica.

Do you have telephone sales personnel and account executives in Costa Rica? Do they know how to execute upon a solid script that will pique the interest of prospects and clients? Do they know how to present your product or services in an interesting and affable manner, or how to overcome objectives? Can they identify on first instance the communication style of the caller on the other end of the phone line? Do they know the proper order in handling rebuttals, incentives and trade-offs? Do they know how to close?

If your contact-to-closing conversion rates are not adequate to your bottom line, the skills of your sales force may need polishing. On Thursday, June 21st, Sales University will hold a special workshop at the campus of the Autonomous University of Central America (UACA in Spanish) in Curridabat, on the eastern suburbs of San Jose.

The topics that will be covered include:

  • Skills and basic assumptions
  • Turning phone calls into positive experiences
  • Essential telephone etiquette
  • Script planning and preparation
  • Overcoming objectives
  • Closing
  • Cold calling techniques
  • The ten steps of closing a cold call, using methodology formulated by the Sales University of Costa Rica

The workshop will consist of five hours of intensive instruction to adequately prepare your telephonic sales force. The goal is to transform your employees in Costa Rica from telemarketers to sales closers. The cost of the workshop is 35,000 colones (about $70) per employee.

You can view and listen to a free 40-minute lecture on the topics above on this YouTube video produced by Sales University. For more information, contact Susana Aspron at the Sales University of Costa Rica:
