Multi Million Dollar Sanitation Project in Heredia Costa Rica Set for 2013

heredia costa rica sewer sanitation projectOnce the design for the new sewer system and treatment plant in the province of Heredia, Costa Rica, has been finished, its construction will be put out to tender.

The company Servicios Públicos de Heredia (ESPH by its Spanish initials) has estimated the cost of the project design at about $3.2 million. The Mexican-Costa Rican consortium GIA-Cacisa will be in charge of the design.

The first phase includes design of the sewerage system, treatment plant and wastewater feasibility study.

“At the end of the expected time for designs (64 weeks) it is estimated that ESPH will have the funding model and bidding details ready for the next step which will be contracting out the construction phase, expected to start from 3 and 6 months after the design phase”, writes Ana Cristina Camacho in El Financiero.
