The Osa Peninsula not only holds 5% of the world’s biodiversity, but it also has an extensive array of habitats, in which you can find and enjoy refreshing rivers and stunning waterfalls, primary and secondary forest, all joining together in a beautiful mix with the ocean. The ocean retreats and creates tide pools that hold everything you can imagine: regular and fragile starfish, octopus, puffer fish, colorful corals and algae, sea cucumbers, sea slugs, different kinds of conchs and if you are as lucky as we were the last time, even a whale from the shore.
