Grupo Enjoy, an investor group in Costa Rica working with 100 percent domestic capital, is preparing to unveil its latest $2.5 million investment in early November. According to finance reporter Evelyn Fernandez of business weekly El Financiero, Grupo Enjoy will welcome diners to the very first P.F. Chang’s China Bistro in Costa Rica, located in the ritzy Avenida Escazú, on November 3^rd.

Readers familiar with the Asian-themed P.F. Chang’s locations in North America and elsewhere should not expect any surprises, except maybe menu prices, at this new restaurant in Costa Rica. P.F. Chang’s is a highly successful casual dining franchise known for its quality Asian fusion dishes, upscale ambiance, terracotta warriors décor, coffee bar, range of Asian beers, and novelty cocktails.

This new P.F. Chang’s is creating 125 jobs at a time when unemployment in Costa Rica is gradually increasing. This investment was taken from the conference room to the seafood bar in record time: Principals from the Enjoy Group made the decision to shell out $2.5 million for this Asian bistro after visiting a P.F. Chang’s in Panama seven months ago.

Many of the dishes served at P.F. Chang’s franchises around the world feature seafood and vegetables that are served fresh or wok-fried. This particular location in Costa Rica spans 653 square meters, three interior dining spaces, two outdoor dining terraces, and a comfortable bar. The hours of operation will be Noon to 10 pm from Sunday through Thursday. Closing time on Fridays and Saturdays will be at 11:00 pm.

Beer aficionados who enjoy light and refreshing rice-based lagers will certainly enjoy tasting the bottle and draft catalog at P.F. Chang’s. For the record, Costa Rica’s iconic Imperial beer is a rice-based pale lager.

According to a spokesperson from the Enjoy Group, the simple and lower-priced lunch entrees at P.F. Chang’s in Costa Rica will run about $7.50 to $14.
