U.S. company, Shoreline Entertainment, one of the longest-running and a highly-respected company in the film industry is joining Costa Rican production companies for the creation of projects in this country.
The meetings between the companies were held during the Buyers Trade Mission (BTM) part of Costa Rica Services Summit event organized by PROCOMER (Costa Rica Foreign Trade Promotion Agency) this week at Real Intercontinental Hotel.
A television series with the participation of writer Bob Engels is the project planned between Shoreline Entertainment and Producciones Orosi (Orosi Productions), the same will be carried out with American actors.
The second project involves a bibliographic film based on an important Costa Rican personality whose name hasn’t been disclosed, this will be developed along with Atomica Films.
Shoreline Entertainment will co-produce alongside Oveja Negra Producciones a police television show that will be filmed in Costa Rica and include all local cast and artistic team.
“The concretion of these deals is the result of arduous work by the Filming Comission and the audiovisual sector in general. We have started to see the results of all the projects supported by PROCOMER, the attraction of producers and co-producers to raise the number and quality of audiovisual projects in our country”, commented Filmic Commissionaire Jose Castro.
Shoreline participates in more than a dozen major media markets and festivals every year; it has represented and produced films that have been nominated for Golden Globes and Independent Spirit Awards, among others.
