The sixth date of the Kolbi National Surf Circuit: INS Youth Cup will take place this weekend (June 23-24) at Jaco Beach.

Some of the best representatives of this sport will gather in front of the Beach Break hotel and the forecast for the weekend couldn’t be better with big waves that will make for a very competitive event.

A total of close to 150 competitors are expected, the activity will also offer a Reggae Night on Saturday at the Selina Jaco hotel.

This is the second to last date of the Kolbi National Surf Circuit.

On date five, it was Anthony Fillingim who took the first place in the male open competition, while Valentina Resano was the winner in the female open category.

In the general rankings Anthony Fillingim remains at the top with Jordan Hernandez, Andre Chacon, Malakai Martinez and Alberto Muñoz, following closely; while in the female open Rubiana Brownwell is holding on to the first place, followed by Coral Wiggins, Lisbeth Vindas, Valentina Ressano and Paulina Summers.

Sam Reidy and Rubiana Brownwell are leading in their respective categories in the junior division.

The last date of the Kolbi National Tournament will be held at Hermosa Beach the weekend of July 27 through July 29.
