The event is directed to the sectors of tourism, health, medical, hotels, Spa, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, etc. and will take place August 31 through September 2 in La Fortuna, San Carlos.
Wellness tourism represents a $3.7 trillion dollar business in 2015 according to data by the Global Wellness Institute; this event has the purpose of consolidating the national and regional offer.
“This event will bring together eight speakers from several countries, who during three days will give conferences, round tables and will offer presentations on innovative options related to wellness in a global level and its impact in Costa Rica”, commented organizer Stephanie Villegas to Travel2Latam.
With the slogan “living more and better, with nature as a guide”, the event is organized by Costa Rica Wellness Development in collaboration with the Latin American Spa Association, the Wellness Tourism Association of Costa Rica, the Costa Rican Tourism Board and the National Chamber of Tourism with the objective of analyzing the roll of the government and the need of cooperation between the public and private sector to create norms that guarantee the quality of the services offered by the sector.
