Police authorities of the Ministry of Public Security and the United States Coast Guard Service intercepted this past October 15 a vessel loaded with 444 kilograms of cocaine in waters of the Costa Rican South Pacific.

This was possible thanks to the joint patrol operations between the United States and Costa Rican Governments.

The boat was intercepted 100 nautical miles southwest of Mata Palo and is identified with the name Moby Dick, it is registered as property of a Costa Rican of last name Araya, aboard the boat were four men of last names Obando 32 year-of-age, Beita, 24; Castrillo 45 and Reyes, age 36 all of them Costa Rican.

The fishing boat was brought back to the Golfito dock in Puntarenas on Wednesday.
