Once again, Costa Rican Penitentiary Police captured a cat smuggling cell phones into prison, this time at the Center of Institutional Attention Jorge Arturo Montero (La Reforma).
The cat had a harness and attached to it a bag with two mobile phones its respective chargers and three sim cards.
An officer first noticed the cat as it entered module B of the prison, however, officers were unable to capture it as it hid inside a sewer.
When they were finally able to catch him and remove the mobiles, they placed him inside a sack, and while they went looking for a proper carrier cage the cat managed to escape.
This is the fourth cat they have gotten a hold off; some years ago police officers also caught a trained pigeon carrying drugs into prison.
