Visit the 2018 Book Fair in Costa Rica

The already traditional International Book Fair “Feria del Libro” in Costa Rica kicked off this August 24 and will continue through September 2 at the Antigua Aduana building.

This is the XIX edition of the event that honors this year three Costa Rican authors: Quince Duncan who is celebrating 50 years of literary activity; Fabián Dobles born in 1918 (a century ago) and who passed away in 1997; and Daniel Gallegos, who passed away in March at age 87.

In total 56 exhibitors will showcase their many book options at the Antigua Aduana, while 45 more will be present at the Casa del Cuño.

The entry to the fair is free of charge and open to all public.

In addition to the huge variety of books, the event also offers workshops, conferences, activities for children and teens, book presentations, forums, among others. For the full list of daily activities go to http://www.feriadellibrocostarica.com

The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Costa Rican Book Chamber, the cost of organizing this event was of close to $384 thousand USD.

The fair will open at 9 a.m. ad extend through 8 p.m. and Sunday, September 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
